Mr. Alfred Pinkney Elmore, III, of Eagleville, Tennessee died at 4:00 am on October 25, 2017. A.P., as he was known throughout his married life, was a son of the late Alfred Pinkney Elmore, Jr. and Ruth Agnes Floyd Elmore.

A.P. and his wife, Cornelia Elizabeth Alexander Elmore, married on November 24, 1954 and had a son, Alfred Keith Elmore who lives in Beech Grove, TN. A. P. is also survived by a grandson, Matthew Keith Elmore, Readyville, TN; a granddaughter, Emily Paige (Obie) Gnida, Bradyville, TN; a great granddaughter, Willow Gnida; sister, Dorothy Jean (Craig) Fox, Nashville, TN.

A.P. was a very mathematically inclined person and retired from Samsonite Corp. of Murfreesboro in 1994 after 32 years of experience. During his 32 years of employment, he only missed two days of work. After retirement from Samsonite, he worked for Murfreesboro Auto Auction.

Mr. Elmore respected his elders, always “did his BEST at work”, loved his family dearly and loved the Lord.

Family members will receive friends on Thursday, October 26, 2017 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 27, 2017 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Bud Alexander officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Smyrna, TN.

Obie Gnida, Matthew Keith Elmore, Ricky Blanton, Craig Fox, Kenneth Vasser and Heath Garner will serve as pallbearers.
