Bobbie Spain

Mrs. Bobbie Faye Petty Harper Spain, age 79, of Eagleville, Tennessee, died Tuesday, August 4, 2015.  Mrs. Spain was born in Davidson County and was a daughter of the late Thomas Haskel and Luna Mae Phillips Petty.  She was a member of the Church of Christ.  Mrs. Spain, along with her husband, James Arthur Harper, who died in 1996, were the caregivers, owners and operators of Harpers Veterans Home in Eagleville for over 40 years.

Mrs. Spain is survived by her husband, George Spain, Eagleville, TN; children, Greg (Bonnie) Spain, Chapel Hill, TN, Derrick Harper, Panama City, FL, Tina Pewitt, Murfreesboro, TN, Jimmy (Loretta) Harper, Eagleville, TN; five step-children; brother, Tommy Petty, Fairview, TN; twenty six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Family members will receive friends on Thursday, August 6, 2015 from 4:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home.  Visitation will also be on Friday, August 7, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. with funeral services being conducted at 3:00 p.m. from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Jimmy Carver officiating.  Burial will follow in Triune Cemetery in Triune, TN.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
