David Lemmon

September 3, 1948 — August 22, 2016

Mr. David C. Lemmon, age 67, of the Hickory Hill Community of Bedford County, died Monday, August 22, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his family. Mr. Lemmon was born in Bedford County and was a son of the late Richard Charles and Mary Irene Ralston Lemmon. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Shelbyville, TN. Mr. Lemmon retired from the maintenance department at Bemis Corporation and previously had worked for 30 years as a Maintenance Technician for Eaton Corporation of Shelbyville. He was a member of Shelbyville Masonic Lodge # 122 and the Steel Workers Local # 7509 of Shelbyville. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lemmon was also preceded in death by a sister, Martha Jo Hagood and a brother, Charles William Lemmon.

Mr. Lemmon is survived by his wife of 50 years, Pat Lemmon, Hickory Hill Comm.; daughters, Kelly Ann (Kenneth) Parker, Bell Buckle, TN, Karla Jo (Brian) Butler, Hickory Hill Comm., Kerri Leigh (Bryan) Yarbrough, Rover Comm., Tracy Lynn (Dereck) Layne, Chapel Hill, TN; sisters, Mary Elizabeth King, Rover Comm., Barbara Ann Reed, Shelbyville, TN, Carman (Bob) Perou, Tyler, TX, Nora Jean (Roger) Littrell, Hickory Hill Comm.; grandchildren, Aaron Parker, Caleb Parker, Kelsey Tucker, Chloe Tucker, Briley Butler, Bradey Butler, Bryleigh Yarbrough, Benjamin Yarbrough, Mason Layne, Morgan Layne; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Dr. Marvin “Buddy” Koonce officiating. Burial will follow in Cothran Cemetery in the Rover Community of Bedford County.

In Lieu of Flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to the Sarah Cannon Cancer Center, 230 25th Avenue North, Nashville, Tennessee 37203.
