James Leverette

Mr. James “PawPaw” Leverette, age 70, of the Longview Community of Bedford Co., died Monday, April 4, 2016. Born in Marshall Co., Mr. Leverette was a son of the late James Elroy Leverette and Mayme Vangerine Slaughter Leverette. He was a former welder and shop foreman for Cooper Steel. In addition to his parents, Mr. Leverette was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Greggs; 2 sons, Jerry Wayne Leverette and Tommy Leverette; a sister, Barbara Chatham; a brother, Allen Leverette.

Survived by his wife, Mary F. Leverette of the Longview Community; 4 daughters, Lisa Leverette of Shelbyville, Wanda Overcast of Shelbyville, Rhonda Sandoval of Goodlettsville, TN; Lesa Ayala of Shelbyville; 4 sons, Joe Leverette of Unionville, Brian Leverette of Illinois, Jeff Armstrong of Illinois; Tracy Leverette of Shelbyville; 2 sisters, Wilma Gonzalez of Illinois, Sandra Jenkins of Illinois; 4 brothers, David Leverette of Illinois, Larry Leverette of Illinois, Clifford Leverette of Unionville, Kevin Leverette of Illinois

. Visitation will be Thursday, April 7, 2016 from 2pm – 8pm at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1pm, Friday, April 8, 2016 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home.
