Mr. Jimmie Lee Cooper, age 88, of Unionville, Tennessee, died Tuesday, January 3, 2017 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Mr. Cooper was born in Bedford County and was a son of the late William Lee and Ruth Jewell Sanders Cooper. He served for 18 years in the Tennessee National Guard and was a member of the Baptist faith. Mr. Cooper was a farmer and, for over 30 years, was the owner and operator of Cooper’s Unionville Market in Unionville.

Mr. Cooper is survived by his wife, Martha Jones Cooper, Unionville, TN; sons, Terry Lee Cooper, Shelbyville, TN, Jimmie Alan (Ronda) Cooper, Rover Comm., Danny (Pam) Cooper, Rover Comm., Roger Cooper, Atlanta, GA; step-daughter, Sonya (Mitchell) Boyce, Shelbyville, TN; step-sons, James (Margaret) McDaniel, Shelbyville, TN, Chris (Karen) McDaniel, Lewisburg, TN; grandson, Chad Lee Cooper; five step-grandchildren and six step-great grandchildren.

Family members will receive friends on Thursday, January 5, 2017 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Friday, January 6, 2017 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. David Wall officiating.  Burial will follow in Cooper Cemetery in the Rover Community of Bedford County.
