Mrs. Nora Mae Glenn Gilbert, age 84, of Chapel Hill, TN, died Saturday, January 14, 2017. Born in Williamson Co., TN, Mrs. Gilbert was a daughter of the late John Luther Glenn, Sr. and Bertie Mae Garner Glenn. She was retired from Whirlpool Inc, as an assembly line worker. Mrs. Gilbert was a member of Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, John Luther Glenn, Jr.; 2 sisters, Carrie Tomlin and Agnes Hayes; a daughter, Saundra Bryant; 2 grandchildren.
Survived by her husband, Don Gilbert of Chapel Hill; 2 daughters, Cynthia Gayle McAfee of Madison, TN and Janie Elkins of Nashville, TN; 3 sisters, Martha Watkins of Chapel Hill, TN; Shirley Thompson and Stella Jenkins, both of Nashville, TN; a brother, Charles Glenn of Nashville, TN; 6 Grandchildren; 11 Great grandchildren and 4 Great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 19, 2017 from 10 am to ll am at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11 am Thursday from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home. Burial will be at 2pm, Thursday, at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens, 9090 Highway 100, Nashville, TN.
