Robert Smotherman

Mr. Robert “Little Bob” Smotherman, age 65, of the Rockvale Community in Rutherford County, died Friday, August 5, 2016 in Murfreesboro, TN. Mr. Smotherman was a native of Rutherford County, TN and a son of the late Robert Franklin and Maggie Irene Ragsdale Smotherman. He was a farmer and member of the Old Lebanon Methodist Church.
Mr. Smotherman is survived by his sisters, Mary Lamb of Shelbyville, TN, Joyce (Claude) Throneberry of Unionville, TN, Bell (Kenneth) Lamb of Unionville, TN, Sue (Mike) Irvin of LaVergne, TN, Barbara Smotherman of Rockvale, TN, Alta Smotherman of Rockvale, TN; brother, Dennis Smotherman of Rockvale, TN; nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be from 4 PM until 8 PM on Sunday, August 7, 2016 at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral service will be conducted on Monday, August 8, 2016 at 10:30 AM from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Grooms officiating. Interment will follow in Whitworth Cemetery in the Link Community of Rutherford County, TN.
