Terie was born in San Diego County, California and moved to the Flat Creek Community as a baby. She graduated from Page High School in 1981 and has worked at Harpeth Ford, Marshall County Schools as a bus driver, Don Wood Plumbing, Rex's Foodland, and most recently was employed as an Assistant Manager at Goody's Department Store in Columbia, TN and Lawrence Funeral Home in Chapel Hill, TN as a custodian.

Terie enjoyed many things in life including Antique Tractor Pulling. She was a member of the Bedford County Antique Tractor Pulling Association and The Tennessee Valley Pioneer Power Association. Other interest and hobbies included collecting the Barbie Holiday Collection and M&M memorabilia. Terie was a band mom for the Forrest High School Band of Blue for many years and had a love for sports. She was very active around the farm with her love for horses and her love of Iris flowers. Terie also had a love for wearing holiday costumes regardless the holiday. Finally, Terie had a calling for helping her family and others by creating an environment that fostered her “can do, no matter what” attitude and inspiring many others to have the same. She cared for so many in their times of need and cared for her family unconditionally.
