Mr. Tommy Helmick, age 77, of Chapel Hill, died Tuesday, March 21, 2017. Born in Marshall Co., Mr. Helmick was a son of the late Thomas Hiram Helmick and Mary Euphamie Sweeney Helmick. Tommy was retired from Blalock Plumbing and Electric as an inventory clerk. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survived by his wife, Melba Helmick of Chapel Hill; a daughter, Andrea Helmick of Chapel Hill; a son, Thomas Helmick of Chapel Hill; 2 grandchildren, Hunter and Lily Helmick
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Lawrence Funeral Home from 4PM-8PM. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 11AM from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Harris Cemetery near Chapel Hill.
