Virginia Haskins

February 3, 1928 — October 12, 2016

Mrs. Virginia Adell Douglas Haskins, age 88, of Unionville, Tennessee, died Wednesday morning, October 12, 2016 in Shelbyville, Tennessee. Mrs. Haskins was born in Bedford County and was a daughter of the late Evan Poplin and Chattie Jane Leverette Douglas. She was a member of Unionville Church of Christ and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Haskins was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Ira Haskins; a son, Ira Eugene Haskins; sisters, Lorene Malone, Ruth Brown, Jean Wells, Shirley Leathers; and brothers, Walter Douglas and Edward Douglas.

Mrs. Haskins is survived by her daughter, Carolyn (Lee Roy) Davis, Unionville, TN; sons, Glenn Edward Haskins, Unionville, TN, Ronnie (Angela) Haskins and William (Vickie) Haskins, both of Shelbyville, TN; daughter-in-law, Tammy Haskins, Unionville, TN; sister, Nadine (Billy) Tucker, Shelbyville, TN; brother, Milton Douglas, Murfreesboro, TN; nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

Family members will receive friends on Thursday, October 13, 2016 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Friday, October 14, 2016 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Hames officiating. Burial will follow in Cothran Cemetery in the Rover Community of Bedford County.
