Mr. Charles Anderson Mobley, of Chapel Hill, passed away at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN, surrounded by loving family, on October 3, 2017, at the age of 60, after extended treatment for a lung infection.

Charles was preceded in death by his loving wife, Terie, of 35 years, who passed away in 2016. They were married in Franklin, TN on Saturday, November 7, 1981.

Charles is lovingly remembered by his ,Parents, William Howard and Verlynn Mobley of Spring Hill, Parents in Law, Earl Jr. and Barbara Harris of Chapel Hill, Brothers, Wayne (Corrinne) Mobley of Spring Hill, Wallace (Shirley) Mobley of Spring Hill, Daughter Audra Elaine (Robert) Mackenzie of Chapel Hill, Son, William Earl Mobley of Chapel Hill, and Granddaughter, Lydia Alexis Mackenzie of Chapel Hill, 2 Sister in laws and their spouses, 5 Nieces and Nephews

Charles was born in Chicago, IL on October 26, 1956 and moved to Nashville, TN as a baby and eventually into the Millview Community outside of Franklin. He graduated from College Grove School in 1974 and worked at numerous farms, including one of his own, Billy Knight Plumbing and Electric, Marshall Farmers COOP, and most recently Don Wood Plumbing where he worked for over 20 years.

Charles was involved in a single vehicle accident in January of 2001, changing his life forever, paralyzing him from the neck down and causing him to be wheelchair bound for the last 16 years of his life. Prior to his accident, Charles was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman, enjoyed working around the farm, and showing his spotted saddle horses. After his accident he enjoyed helping everyone around him with his critical thinking skills and blessing of being able to instruct almost anyone how to fix anything. He also became more active in Antique Tractor Pulling and was member of the Bedford County Antique Tractor Pulling Association and The Tennessee Valley Pioneer Power Association. In recent years, his interest and hobbies included training and taking care of his corgi Foxy and following his favorite sports team, The Predators, Titans, and University of Tennessee Athletics. He was also blessed to have the chance to see his Granddaughter born, who he nicknamed Scooter, and help her grow over the last 2 years. He cared for so many in their times of need and loved his family unconditionally.

Family members will receive friends on Saturday, October 14th 2017beginning at 2pm with a Celebration of Life service to be conducted at 3 p.m. from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Wilford Mobley, Jr. officiating.
