December 21, 1944 — January 17, 2018
Mr. Don Edward McCord, age 73, of Eagleville, TN, died Wednesday, January 17, 2018, in Murfreesboro, TN. He was born in Smyrna, TN a son of the late William Puckett “Joe” and Emma Dolores McKnight McCord. Mr. McCord was a member of the Rockvale Church of Christ. He was a retired chemical engineer and supervisor, having worked for Celanese, Inc., 3M Company, Armak, Inc., and Spontex, Inc. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, William Keith McCord.
Don is survived by his wife, Ray Ann Jones McCord of Eagleville, TN; son, Joel (Rondi) McCord of Killen, AL; brother, Jon (Janice) McCord of Florence, AL; sister, Carolyn (Brock) Bucher of Windmere, FL; and grandchildren, Railey Ann McCord, Callie Beth McCord, and Lincoln Christopher McCord.
Family members will receive friends on Friday, January 19, 2018, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, January 20, 2018, at 10:00 AM from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Shane Merritt officiating. Interment will follow at Jordan-Williams Cemetery near Eagleville, TN.
