James Brown

Mr. James Marion Brown, age 90, of Nashville, TN died Thursday, January 3, 2019.  He was a native of Marshall County, TN, and was a son of the late Jessie C. “Jack” and Ruby Elaine Crick Brown.  James was a member of Arlington United Methodist Church and retired from AVCO Corp. after 37 years of service having retired in 1990.  Mr. Brown was a 1946 Graduate of Forrest High School and a member of the Donelson Masonic Lodge #375 of the Free and Accepted Masons having received his 50 year pin in 2010.  Mr. Brown was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Korea.  He loved his family and working puzzles.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Brown, son, Doug Brown, grandson, Josh Brown, brother, Tom Brown, and sister, Sara Graham.

Mr. Brown is survived by his son, Gary Wayne (Kathy) Brown of Hermitage, TN; sister, Elaine (Ron) Hayes of Nashville, TN; brothers, Bill (Pat) Brown of Olive Branch, MS, Phil (Jane) Brown of Nashville, TN; 4 grandchildren, Jessi Price, Ashley Sengsayadeth, Juliana Argyle, Austin Brown; 6 great grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be on Friday, January 4, 2019 from 4 PM until 7 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home at 1 PM on Saturday, January 5, 2019 with Rev. Susan Gray officiating.  Interment will follow in Simpson Cemetery in the Rover Community of Bedford County, TN.
