Larry Koester

Larry Koester, 64, of Wadesville passed away Saturday, July 20, 2019 in Chapel Hill, TN where he was competing in the Lions Super Pull of the South.

Larry was the owner and operator of O.K. Transport and the patriarch of Koester Racing. He loved his family, his friends, traveling, music, mowing his grass and taking care of his property. Larry loved to share the story of his life and his tragic accident to impact the lives of others in a positive way.

Surviving Larry are his wife of 38 years, Coral “Caesar” (Conville) Koester; a daughter, Ashley (Craig) Corzine of Assumption, IL; son, Adam (Jamilyn) Koester of Wadesville; his mother, Vernita (Fehrenbacher) Koester; sisters, Carol (Kenny) Martin, Janice (Daniel) Schmitt, Marlene (Kenneth) Kissel, Donna (Rick) Stevens and Connie (Randy) Vickery; two brothers, Joe (Becky) Koester and John (Jeane) Koester and four granddaughters, Erica, Julia, Carsen and Raylen Corzine and a grand dog, Rolo.

Larry was preceded in death by his father, Oscar Koester in 2002.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at 10:00 AM on Thursday at St. Wendel Catholic Church, Rev. Ed Schnur officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Wendel Church cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 until 8:00 PM on Wednesday at St. Wendel Catholic Church Wendel Hall and from 9:00 AM until service time at St. Wendel Catholic Church on Thursday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Northwest Ohio, 215 N. St. Clair Street, Toledo, OH 43604 or to Vote Trump 2020.
