Annie Grissom

Mrs. Annie Grissom, age 86, of Shelbyville, TN, died Saturday, December 3, 2022. Born in Franklin, KY, she was a daughter of the late James Robert Canida and Estelle Ruth Kitchen Canida.  Mrs. Annie had a deep and abiding love for her family and her husband of 53 years, Michael Erston Grissom, who died in 2015. She enjoyed traveling, lake life and was a fervent reader. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, James and Joe; sisters, Bernice, Ella, Geneva and Rita.

Survived by her 3 daughters, Connie (Shawn Fulton) Brown of Shelbyville, TN, Peggy (Willie) Adams of Leoma, TN, Toni (Dewayne) Raby of Shelbyville, TN; 2 sisters, Frances Wheeler of Franklin, KY and Martha Jean Poteet of Bowling Green, KY; 6 grandchildren, Waymon McFarland, Nashika Trice, Jamie Sajor, Jeremy Prater, Karrie Gray and Michael Raby.

19 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 7, 2022 from 4pm – 8pm at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30pm, Thursday, December 8, 2022 at 2:30 pm from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery on Hopkins Bridge Rd in Bedford Co.
