Anthony Vedrody

Anthony “Tony” Vedrody, age 86, of Lewisburg, TN, passed away May 17, 2025 with his loving family by his side. Tony was born July 2, 1938 in Flint, Michigan to the late Stephen J. Vedrody and Rose Papp Csirke. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Wizynajtyl and brothers Martin Vedrody and Ted Vedrody. He was a member of the non-denominational Christian Church of Shelbyville, TN. 

Tony worked at General Motors and the Saturn Division of TN for 26 years until his retirement in 2004. He was employed American Mutual Life Insurance. He was a proud military veteran having served in the United States Marine Corps. Tony was a wonderful husband, caring dad, and loving grandfather.

Tony is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Connie Pitt Vedrody; daughters, Christine Vedrody of Burton, MI, Amanda March of Burton, MI; son, Aaron Vedrody of Lewisburg, TN; step-sons, Bruce Pitt of Lake City, MI, Todd Pitt of Coleman, MI; five grandchildren, Airiona Vedrody, Alex Bristle, Ariels Vedrody, Ayeh Abdellatif, Hailey Bristle; two step grandchildren, Andrew Pitt and Sarah Pitt.

The memorial service honoring Mr. Anthony’s life will be Saturday May 24, 2025, at 1pm from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with military honors. The visitation with the family will be 12PM until the service time at 1PM.
