Mrs. Bessie Jo Turley, age 83, of Lewisburg, TN, died Sunday, July 7, 2024. Born in Davidson Co., Mrs. Turley was a daughter of the late Joe Henry Ivey and Annie Ruby Harwell Ivey. She was a former School Bus driver for the Marshall Co. School system, a former employee of Henry Horton State Park, the former Moorehead Grocery and for a period of time owned The Donut Shop in Chapel Hill. Mrs. Turley was a member of Riggs Church of Christ. She loved her church family, baking and especially enjoyed yard sales and auction In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Joe Turley, a sister, Caroline Ivey Keith, and 3 brothers, William Ivey, James Ivey and Harry Ivey.

Survivors are her 3 daughters, Debbie (Tommy) Roberson of Chapel Hill, TN ,Donna (Scott) Haley of Murfreesboro, TN, and Tammy (Ronnie) Sapp of Pikeville, TN; a son, Roger (James) Turley of Huntsville, AL; a sister, Stella Seaborne of Mt. Juliet, TN; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 10, 2024 from 12PM – 2PM at Lawrence Funeral Home. Following visitation there will be a graveside service at Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill
