Betty June Chunn

Mrs. Betty June Hibbs Chunn, age 85, of South Fulton, formerly of Pottsville, TN, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2026. Betty was born in Wingo, KY to the late John William Hibbs and Katherine Crawford. She was a member of the church of Christ. Betty is preceded in death by her husband William M. “Bill” Chunn and a daughter Patricia Lynn Johnson.

Betty was a wonderful lady. You could always find her with her family and being an encouraging mother and grandmother. She loved hard and was always willing to greet you with a smile. Most of all, she loved the role of being a mother and grandmother. There was never a moment that she didn’t brag about all of her family. She truly loved hard and big. Her compassion and love will be missed.

Betty is survived by her loving children Gail Brown of Franklin, TN, Roxanne (Richard) Jewell of Raleigh, NC, Anthony (Carol) Watson of Chesapeake, VA, Andy (Pam) Chunn of Columbia, TN, and Toby Chunn of Columbia, TN; 4 grandchildren, Bill (Jennifer) Johnson of Lewisburg, TN, Amy Bradford of Lyles, TN, Julie (John) Savage of Columbia, TN, and Dana (Aaron) Crawford of Charleston, WV; 1 great grandson Dax Johnson of Lewisburg, TN.

A Graveside service will be conducted at Shires Cemetery, 4142 US-431 Columbia, TN 38401, Friday, January 30, 2026, at 11AM. Burial will follow where she will be laid to rest by her husband.

The family has requested you dress casual and warm as you gather together to celebrate her life.
