Billy Joe Johnson

Mr. Billy Joe Johnson, age 81, of Rockvale, TN, died on Friday, November 29, 2024, at his home. He was a native of Kingsport, TN and a son of the late Andrew Johnson and Margaret Droke Johnson Roberts. Mr. Johnson was a lifelong farmer and a member of the Farm Bureau. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Burns Johnson, in 2021.

Mr. Billy Joe loved farming and working on the farm. He took great pride in raising fine cattle. Most of all, he loved his family and enjoying life with them, especially his children and grandchildren.

Mr. Johnson is survived by his sons, Billy Joe “BJ” (Jessica) Johnson, II of Rockvale, TN, Michael James Michael Johnson of Rockvale, TN; 3 grandchildren, Eli Johnson, Savannah Johnson, Riley Johnson; a brother, Coy (Nancy) Johnson of Johnson City, TN.

Visitation with the family will be at 12 Noon on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at Burns Cemetery. The graveside service will be conducted at 1 PM at Burns Cemetery in Rockvale, TN. Interment will follow there after the service.

Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Helvey, Robert Earhart, Frank Poling, Kevin Thompson, Darrell Ailshie, and Ward Pack.
