Charles A. Sellars

Mr. Charles A. Sellars, age 75, of Chapel Hill, TN, passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 in Chapel Hill, TN.  He was born in Donalsonville, GA and was a son of the Late Horace Chester Sellars and Beatrice Sirmons Sellars.  He was a member of the Chapel Hill Church of Christ.  Mr. Sellars was a retired educator having taught in Dickson County and Metro Nashville Schools.  He had membership in Metro Nashville Retired Educators Association, Marshall County Retired Educators Association, National Educators Association, and TN Educators Association.  Mr. Sellars had served as a Deacon at Central, Tusculum, and Una Churches of Christ.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two grandchildren, Emme and Lana Sellars.

Mr. Charles enjoyed Church activities, photography, and watching grandchildren play sports.  He was a big fan of Florida State University football and the Atlanta Braves baseball teams!  Mr. Sellars had a great passion for his yard work, and young Astronauts.

Mr. Sellars is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Mrs. Karen Rockwell Sellars of Chapel Hill, TN; children, Sharon Sellars Jent of Murfreesboro, TN Jeffrey (Beth) Sellars of Meridianville, AL; 4 grandchildren, Jordan Jent, Jared Jent, Walker Sellars, Eva Sellars; sisters, Alice (Jack) Diestelhorst of Tallahassee, FL, Judith Fernandez of St. Pete, FL; brother, Preston (Nely) Sellars of Clermont, FL.

Visitation with the family will be on Friday, August 18, 2023 from 11 AM until 1 PM at Chapel Hill Church of Christ.  Funeral services will be on Friday, August 18, 2023 at 1 PM from the Chapel Hill Church of Christ, 4483 Nashville Hwy, Chapel Hill, TN, with Bro. Isaac Bourne officiating.  Interment will follow in Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill, TN.
