Charles "Charlie" Plunkett

Mr. Charles “Charlie” Plunkett, age 68, of Nunnelly, TN, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2026 in Nashville, TN. He was born in Nashville, TN to the late Lloyd Allen Plunkett and Zora Grey Poteete Plunkett. Charlie was a stone mason in the construction industry. He was of the Baptist faith. Charlie participated in the Job Core Program where he taught his skill of stone work to young folks. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, James Allen Plunkett, Mary “Darlene” Wilkerson, Kathy M. Nash, and a grandson, Jeremiah Plunkett.

Mr. Charlie loved classic cars, horses, and gardening. He had a passion for stone working and he had mechanic hobbies. He loved working on projects and dancing to country music. He enjoyed his friendships and fellowship with his masonry and stone work buddies. Most of all he enjoyed time spent with family and making memories with his grandchildren.

Mr. Plunkett is survived by his children, Tamara Brown of Dickson, TN, McKenzie Walters of Brentwood, TN, Casey Ann Walters of Brentwood, TN; 4 grandchildren, Trey Brown, William Brown, Marshall Brown, Elijah Brown; sister, Nancy Wilkerson of Murfreesboro, TN; special family, Willie Poteete and Mark Husley.

Visitation with the family will be on Thursday, July 30, 2026 from 10 AM until 1 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at 1 PM from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Jamie Pratt officiating. Interment will follow at Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill, TN.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
