Born on February 17, 1934, in Nashville, Tennessee, Charles’s life was marked by a strong work ethic, devotion to family, and dedicated service to his community and country.

Charles completed his high school education, after which he embarked on a distinguished career in the flooring industry, working with Floor Coverings and at Corlew and Perry Flooring Store. Through decades of steady work, he earned the respect of both colleagues and customers alike, being regarded not merely for his technical skill, but for his integrity, reliability, and genuine care for those around him.

A proud veteran, Charles served his country aboard the USS Burton Island, exemplifying his sense of duty and commitment. His time in service reflected the core values that followed him throughout his life—steadfastness, responsibility, and loyalty.

An adept small engine repairman, Charles pursued this hobby with characteristic patience and precision. Whether maintaining engines for practical needs or helping a neighbor get a lawnmower running again, he derived satisfaction from problem-solving and lending a hand, embodying his reputation as someone always ready to assist others quietly and skillfully.

He is survived by his sons, Allen Warren and Samuel Lee Warren; his daughter, Jeanie Annette Warren; his sister, Joyce Warren Amoure; a beloved grandchild; a cherished great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. The legacy of his love and guidance endures through each of them.

He is preceded in death by his son, Michael Warren, and his wife, Ethel Clark Neese Warren. Their memory, and the enduring bonds they shared, continue to span the generations of Charles’s family.

The funeral service will follow on Tuesday at 12:00 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home, with burial taking place at Swanson Cemetery, Morningside Drive, Chapel Hill, TN 37034, beginning at 1:00 PM.
