Charlie Whitehurst

Mr. Charlie Whitehurst, age 75, of Arrington, TN, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2026 at his residence. He was a native of Franklin, TN and was a son of the late Dan German Whitehurst and Flora Odell Burdette Whitehurst. Charlie was retired from the Franklin Fire Department with 30 years of service where he retired as a Lieutenant. He was a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Flora May Deal and Katie Whitehurst. 

Charlie enjoyed the outdoors with a passion for fishing. He enjoyed building model cars and airplanes as a hobby. He had a great interest in listening to oldies music. Most of all he loved his family and spending time with them.

Mr. Whitehurst is survived by his son, Chuck Whitehurst of Arrington, TN; sisters, Jackie (Benny) Johnson of Shelbyville, TN, Barbara White of Franklin, TN, Alice Derosett of Cookeville, TN; brothers, Dan Whitehurst of Franklin, TN, Walter Whitehurst of the Burwood Community, Jimmy (Billie Jane) Whitehurst of Eagleville, TN; and several nieces and nephews. 

Visitation with the family will be on Saturday, August 1, 2026 from 4 PM until 6 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life service will be at 6 PM on Saturday, August 1, 2026 from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home.
