Darlene Slaughter Gordon

Mrs. Darlene Slaughter Gordon, age 63, of Chapel Hill, TN passed away on Monday, October 5, 2026 in Nashville, TN. She was born in Williamson County, TN and was a daughter of the late James Oliver Slaughter and Bobbie Jean Eady Slaughter. Mrs. Darlene was a homemaker after retiring as a legal assistant for law firms including Vanderbilt Law. She was of the Christian faith and a graduate of Page High School Class of 1981. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Debbie Jean Slaughter Mason.

Darlene found great joy in caring for, loving, and helping people in their daily life. She loved to cook and share her meals that she prepared. She had a passion for the outdoors including gardening, flowers, and feeding hummingbirds. She loved people and little animals and never met a stranger.

Mrs. Gordon is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Clarence Gordon of Chapel Hill, TN; daughters, Chelsie Gordon, Lacie Gordon; 3 grandchildren; brother, Randy (Beverly) Slaughter of Kelso, TN; brother in law, Floyd Lee Gordon; sister in law, Mary Gordon; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be on Friday, October 9, 2026, from 11 AM until 1 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted on Friday, October 9, 2026 at 1 PM from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Inman officiating. Interment will follow in Eady Cemetery in Chapel Hill, TN.

Family & friends will serve as pallbearers.
