David Ronald McCoy age 73, of Thompson Station, Tennessee, passed away on May 4, 2026 in Nashville, TN. He was born on December 28, 1952, in Williamson County, TN to the late Delmar Moody McCoy and Margaret Emmogene Stintson McCoy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Shirley Waddy, Brenda Cox, Margie McCoy, and Randy McCoy.

David enjoyed spending time with “his” girls. You could always find him surrounded by his friends and going many places with them. He was known to many for restoring cars and working on auto body parts. David enjoyed racing as well as attending races. We will strongly miss his sense of humor and his love for his Harley Davidson.

David is survived by his daughters, Angie (Royce Bell) McCoy of Thompson Station, TN and Jessica (Ricky) Huggins of Ashland City, TN; 3 grandchildren: Courtney Bell (Austin) Sanders, Adia Huggins (Carson Halpin) and Echo Huggins; 1 great grandchildren, Brinlee Darlene Sanders; a brother, Larry (Kay) McCoy; ex-wife, Teri McCoy of Red Boiling Springs, TN; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

There will be a visitation with the family on Saturday May 9, 2026, from 9 AM until 11 AM. A funeral service will take place at 11AM from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with burial to follow in Cox Cemetery in Thompson Station, TN.
