Dennis Dowers

Mr. Dennis Dowers, age 68, of Chapel Hill, TN, passed away Monday, December 12, 2022 in Lewisburg, TN.  He was a native of Clinton, IN and was a son of the late Leonard Alvin Dowers and Mary Catherine Bush Dowers.  Mr. Dennis attended the Methodist Church and was retired from General Motors Corporation where he worked in automotive production.  After retirement he worked for Henry Horton State Park.

Mr. Dennis enjoyed mowing grass and taking his doggy for rides.  He loved sports, especially football.  His greatest love was for his family, in particular, he loved being involved with his grandchildren and their activities!

Mr. Dowers is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Linda Dowers of Chapel Hill, TN; children, Dwayne Dowers of Chapel Hill, TN, Alvin (Teri) Dowers of Columbia, TN; 4 grandchildren, Baylee Dowers, Daelyn Dowers, Luke Dowers, and Kinsley Dowers; sister, Denise (Frank) Dixon of Georgetown, IL; brother, Leonard Dowers of Cayuga, IN.

Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home.  This will be a time of visiting and celebrating the life of Dennis Dowers.
