Donald Joyce
September 7, 1929 — March 8, 2014
Mr. Donald “Bubba” Joyce, age 84, of Chapel Hill, died Sat., Mar. 8, 2014. A native of Marshall Co., Mr. Joyce was a son of the late Thomas Clair Joyce and Sue Ella Meeks Joyce. He was a retired truck driver and farmer. Mr. Joyce was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Lawrence; a son, J.T. King; a daughter, Mary Jane Riner.
Survived by his wife, Glenda Yeager Joyce of Chapel Hill; a son, Casey Joyce of Eagleville; 2 daughters, Rebecca King of Chapel Hill; Susie Marsh of Lewisburg; a sister, Patsy Floyd of Chapel Hill; 2 brothers, C.T. Joyce and Jerry Joyce, both of Chapel Hill.
Visitation will be from 4pm – 8pm, Sun., Mar. 9, 2014 at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm, Mon., Mar. 10, 2014 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Joyce-Blackwell Cemetery near Chapel Hill.
