Donald L. Hill

Mr. Donald L. Hill, age 72, of the Patterson Community in Rutherford County, TN, died on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at his residence.  Mr. Hill was born in Bethesda, MD and was a son of the late Francis Edison Hill and Mary Elizabeth Armstead Hill.  He was retired from the BNA Nashville Airport where he worked in maintenance.  He was a member of the Baptist faith.  Mr. Hill proudly served our country in the United States Navy.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Rebecca Kaye Hill, and a brother, Michael Hill.

Mr. Hill enjoyed playing the lottery, playing cards, and Sudoku.  He had a great passion for NASCAR Racing and fishing.  Most of all, he loved his family and treasured every moment with them!

Mr. Hill is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Linda Lamb Hill of the Patterson Community; 3 sons, Thomas (Laona) Hill of Smyrna, TN, Johnathan (Tabitha) Gilbert of the Patterson Community, Christopher (Jessica) Gilbert of Livingston, TN; 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Sunday, July 2, 2023 at Lawrence Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Monday, July 3, 2023 from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Bruce Lynch officiating.  Interment will follow in Hill Cemetery in the Patterson Community of Rutherford County, TN.

Mr. Donald’s sons and grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
