Mr. Eddie Leonard Sharp, age 81, of Chapel Hill, TN, passed from this life into his eternal reward on Tuesday, August 19,2025, with his family by his side. Eddie was the son of the late Hoyle Richard Sharp and Lena Faye Middleton Sharp. He was a member of Unionville Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Frank Sharp, Billy Sharp, Roy Sharp, and his sister, Mary Belle Sharp Petty.
Eddie was a very humble and loving man. He would always greet you with a smile and warm handshake. He had a special love for the Tennessee Volunteers and the Atlanta Braves. You could find him cheering his teams on and always wearing his Tennessee orange. In his younger days, Eddie would be found traveling with Jimmy Callahan and a few others going to concerts and events of all sorts. Eddie had a unique bond with his family, especially his grandchildren. He could be found at all of Jamie and Mackenzie’s ballgames and cheering them on. He would do anything for them and spoil them with everything he had. Eddie loved every moment spent with them and would never pass up a opportunity to sit and talk or ride in the mule or car with them. He loved his family dearly.
Eddie is survived by his wife, Sandra Ragsdale Sharp of Chapel Hill, TN; a daughter, Cindy (Kevin) Pratt of Chapel Hill, TN; two grandchildren, Jamie Pratt and Mackenzie (Layne Bowman) Pratt of Chapel Hill, TN; four nieces, Linda Crowder, Debra Sharp, Terri Schermerhorn, and Angie Haynes; three nephews, Terry Petty, Dennis Sharp, and Ricky Sharp; several great nieces and nephews also survive; and his fur baby Max.
