Elaine Pitts

Mrs. Elaine Redmon Yoes Pitts, age 66, of Unionville, Tennessee, died Friday, June 20, 2014 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Mrs. Pitts was born in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late Leon Junior and Nina Pearl Hudson Redmon. She was a homemaker and was a member of Longview Baptist Church. Mrs. Pitts was preceded in death by her first husband, Douglas Yoes; son-in-law, Tony Carpenter and step-son, Granville Pitts.

Mrs. Pitts is survived by her husband, John Pitts, Unionville, TN; daughters, Tracy “Sissy” Carpenter, Wartrace, TN, Barbara Bomar, Unionville, TN, Mary Sanders, Shelbyville, TN; sons, Douglas “Bubba” Yoes and Kelly Yoes, both of Unionville, TN, Scott Dillon, Christiana, TN; step-children, Lacy, April and Tommy Pitts, all of Murfreesboro, TN; sisters, Hazel Rigsby, Eagleville, TN, Bobbie Sue Lonas, Eagleville, TN; eleven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and by her beloved pets, “Buttons”, “Suzie Q”, and “Dixie”.

Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, June 22, 2014 at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. June 23, 2014 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Henry officiating. Burial will follow in Simpson Cemetery in the Rover Community of Bedford County.
