Mrs. Eva Kay “Mom” King, age 73, of Chapel Hill, Tennessee, died Saturday, July 26, 2025 in Nashville, Tennessee.
Kay was born in Bedford County and was one of 17 children to the late Bessie Mae Fagan and Jolly Walls, Sr. She was a homemaker and her life evolved around her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Kay was also preceded in death by sisters; Virginia Moore, Sarah Morgan, Betty Collins, Gayle Braden, Mary Sue Bell and Freda Walls; and brothers; Pat Walls, Nolan Walls, Vernon “Son” Walls, Bill Walls, Jim Walls and Freddy Walls.
Mrs. King is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jackie King, Chapel Hill, TN; sons, Jolly Joe “J J” (Vicki) King, Rodney Ryan (Ali) King and Jackie (Rainey) King, II, all of Chapel Hill, TN; sisters, Lollie “Monkey” Petty, Chapel Hill, TN, Wanda Clark, Murfreesboro, TN; brothers, Gene (Sarah) Walls, Tallahassee, FL, Jolly Walls, Jr., Chapel Hill, TN; grandchildren, Hawken King, Shelby King, Maddox King, Jane London King, Charlie Grace King; great grandchildren, Anastasia King, Leo King and Olivia Miller.
Family members will receive friends, on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Chatman officiating. Burial will follow in Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
