Eva Burdette Ortiz

Mrs. Eva Burdette Ortiz, age 79, of Spring Hill, TN died Tuesday, August 11, 2026. Born in Franklin, TN, Mrs. Ortiz was a daughter of the late Joseph Benjamin Burdette and Emma Lee Furlough Burdette.

Eva was a long-time caregiver and homemaker. She loved cooking and gardening as well as caring for her children. Eva loved Sunflowers and jewelry. All of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren had a special place in her heart. She will be sorely missed by all of her family, as well as those who had the privilege and joy of knowing her.

Survived by her husband, Alex Ortiz of Spring Hill, TN; 2 daughters, Dana Mealer of Spring Hill, TN and Lisa Renee Herbig of Bon Aqua, TN; 2 sons, Michael (Cindy) Sanford of Huntingdon, TN and Stephen Lee Osburn, Jr. of Cornersville, TN; a sister, Carolyn Pilkinton of Columbia, TN; 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 15, 2026 from 11AM – 1PM at Lawrence Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will follow visitation at 1PM from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home. Burial will be at 2:30PM at Leipers Fork Cemetery.
