Evelyn Plunkett

Mrs. Evelyn Ruth Underwood Plunkett, age 80, of Eagleville, TN, died Sunday, August 14, 2022. Born in Williamson Co., Mrs. Plunkett was a daughter of the late John Freeland Underwood and Ida Pearl Maupin Underwood. Mrs. Evelyn was a retired production worker at Durango Boot Co. She was a member of the Rocky Glade Cumberland Presbyterian Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Plunkett, sisters, Annie Smotherman and Lib Davenport and brother B.A. Underwood.

Survived by a sister, Frances Chaffin of Eagleville, TN; nieces, Martha Plunkett, Mary Collins, Wanda Sears and Brenda Ridley; nephews, Vernon Smotherman, John Smotherman, Ed Smotherman, Rick Smotherman, Leon Chaffin and John Richard Davenport.

Visitation will be 10am – 1pm, Thursday, August 18, 2022 at Lawrence Funeral Home followed by the Funeral Service at 1pm Thursday, with Rev. Tommy Jobe officiating. Burial will be at Rocky Glade Cemetery.
