Fay Roberts

Mrs. Fay Rainey Roberts, age 72, of Cornersville, Tennessee, died Wednesday, June 22, 2016 in Lewisburg, Tennessee. Mrs. Roberts was born in Marshall County and was a daughter of the late Della Mae Henson and Alfred Taylor Rainey, Sr. She was a homemaker and retired from Sanford Corporation of Lewisburg after 33 years of service. Mrs. Roberts was a member of Cornersville United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Edmound Wendell Roberts, who died in 2004; a sister, Nadine Newcomb and brothers, Thomas Smith and Alfred Taylor Rainey, Jr.

Mrs. Roberts is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Vicky Carlton, Lewisburg, TN; sister, Frances Higdon, Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Jessica Carlton, Taylor Carlton, Bethany Carlton; special sister-in-law, Hazel Rainey; several nieces and nephews.

Family members will receive friends on Friday, June 24, 2016 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2016 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Lucas officiating. Burial will follow in Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill.
