Harold Dean Ghee, age 88, of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away on June 28, 2026 in Murfreesboro, TN surrounded by his family. He was born on February 3, 1938, in Eagleville, TN to the late Jim Ed Ghee and Nannie Mai Hargrove Ghee. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters; Marie and brother-in-law Jr. Underwood, Lois and brother-in-law Bufford Brewer, a brother, Sonny and sister-in-law Brenda Ghee, and granddaughter Erika Ghee. He was a member of Creekmont General Baptist Church.

Dean was a very humble, caring, and compassionate man. You could always find him lending a helping hand to whomever needed it. He began working for COOP in LaVergne for 12 years, then later began working at COATS Industries where he met many friends. He then retired and came back to work for the company when it became Hennessy Industries in LaVergne, TN. He worked over 30 years in the manufacturing field. Once officially retiring, he worked for the City of Murfreesboro and proudly worked there for 23 years. He was as true dedicated worker to all who knew him. He worked until he was 85 years old. He loved his family dearly and was always putting a smile on their face. Dean greatest moments in life came from spending time with his family. Dean was always on the go and driving any and everywhere he could go. Most of all, Dean was our family HERO.

Dean is survived by his children, Gary (Kati) Ghee of Fairview, TN, Barry (Penny) Ghee of Smyrna, TN, Dwayne (Sherry) Ghee of Grand Prairie, TX, Glenna (Danny) Hunter of Almaville, TN, Misty (Tony) Jones of Murfreesboro, TN, Tonya (Ethan) Johnson of Murfreesboro, TN, and Jackie (Britt) Jordan of Murfreesboro, TN; 14 Grandchildren, Emery (Kat) Aiden, Jax, Tyler (Alysa), Dustin (Jordan), Lacey (Brian), Victoria (Josh), Tracer (Lindzee), Zachary, Casey (Madi), Chloe, Michael (Jess), Matthew, Kayla (Anthony); 13 Great Grandchildren, Audrey, Kylie, Blakley, Alaia, Shiloh, Jamison, Cooper, Willow, Mackenzie, Brantley, Bailee, Makayla, Ashlyn; sisters, Judy (Marvin) Brewer of Murfreesboro, TN and Patricia Lambert of Tampa, FL.

Visitation with the Ghee family will be Wednesday, July 1, 2026, from 4PM until 8PM at Lawrence Funeral Home. A visitation period will continue on Thursday from 10AM until the Funeral Service at 11AM from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Marvin Brewer and Charlie Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Simpson Cemetery in the Rover Community of Bedford County, TN.
