Harold Dean Vincion was called home Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2023. He was a 1963 graduate of Eagleville High School where he played basketball for the Eagles and belonged to various school clubs. The city of Eagleville was dear to Harold’s heart as he served the city on both the planning commission and the city council. A man of unwavering faith, he was an active member of Rocky Glade Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Harold was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. At his discharge he had obtained the rank of Staff Sergeant.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Clifford Vincion and Isabelle Hopkins Sanders and his step-father, Woodrow “Woody” Sanders; 2 brothers, Mac and Lawrence Vincion.
Survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Linda Hall Vincion; a son, Derek (Freda) Vincion; a daughter, DeAnne (Ricky) Anderson; 6 grandchildren, Danielle (Ricky) Leonard, Ryan (Ashlyn) Vincion, Shellie Anderson, Casey Anderson, Shelby (Kyle) Carlton and Thomas Ghee; 7 great-grandchildren, Braylen Hines, Colten Hines, Hartley Leonard, Harlen Leonard, Brinley Carlton, Gatlin Carlton and Dawson Carlton.
Visitation will be Saturday, Oct. 28, 2023 from 3pm – 7pm at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 2pm Sunday, Oct. 29, 2023 at Lawrence Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill. Grandchildren and great-grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, at Harold’s request, the family asks that donations be made to Rocky Glade Cumberland Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 8, Eagleville, TN 37060.
