Helen Lorine McCoy Hendrixson, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2025, in Franklin, Tennessee, after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born on August 21, 1961, in Williamson County and spent her life enveloped in love and devotion to her family.
Helen dedicated 47 remarkable years of her life to serving as a Certified Pharmacy Technician at CVS Pharmacy, where her friendly demeanor and tireless work ethic made a lasting impression on colleagues and customers alike. A graduate of Franklin High School, she held her roots dearly and was known for her warm and giving spirit.
Family was the cornerstone of Lorine's life; she loved her family unconditionally. Her husband Jerry Hendrixson, her devoted partner of 47 years, stood by her side through every joy and challenge. Lorine is also survived by her cherished children: Linda (Charlie) Taylor, Michelle Hendrixson, and Jerry “Tug” (Ashley) Hendrixson, each of whom she raised with immense love and pride. As a grandmother, she found immeasurable joy in her grandchildren: Jason Plunkett, Jr., Rebecca Taylor, Robert “Buddy” Plunkett, Matthew Taylor, David Taylor, Tucker Hendrixson, Mark “Little Bit” Stacey, Hunter Stacey, and Maddie Plunkett, who brought light to her life and made every moment worth celebrating.
Lorine's vibrant personality extended beyond her family. She savored the holiday spirit year-round, finding joy in Christmas celebrations, cherished moments on the beach, and the thrill of watching her family at the racetrack. Her love for animals was profound, reflecting her caring nature that touched everyone around her. Lorine treasured her connections with others, and her best friend of 57 years, Lisa Paul, was a source of comfort and laughter in her life.
In addition to her immediate family, she leaves behind her brother Howard (Polly) McCoy, and a dear family friend, Jason (Aundrea) Plunkett who all carry forward her loving legacy. Lorine was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Thelma McCoy; her brothers, Mike and Tommy McCoy; and her beloved grandson, Christian Plunkett, whose spirits continue to guide and watch over the family.
Funeral Services to honor Lorine will be held 1:00PM Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at Franklin Community of Faith Church of the Nazarene at 506 Jordan Rd Franklin, TN; Pastor Ronnie Johnson to officiate. Visitation with the Hendrixson family will be held 4-8:00PM Tuesday at Lawrence Funeral Home in Chapel Hill and one hour prior to the service at the church Wednesday. The family requests that everybody dress comfortable and casually. Burial will follow at Williamson Memorial Gardens. Bubba and Buddy Plunkett, Matt Taylor, Rebecca Taylor, Jason Plunkett and Russell Sullivan will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers include, Members of Franklin Community of Faith Church, Tennessee Oncology, PanCan Cancer Family, Robbie Edgar and Huntsville Speedway Family, Tony Formosa, Randy Clements, Friends at Full Throttle, Josh Pitt and Kevin and Micelle Hartley.
