Ila Mae Burris

Mrs. Ila Mae Burris, age 94, of Franklin, TN, formerly of Burbank, IL died on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 in Franklin, TN. She was born in Vinton, Iowa and was a daughter of the late Benjamin Price and Ester Helm Price. Mrs. Burris worked in production for the candy industry producing Tootsie Rolls and was of the Protestant faith. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Alvin Bernard Burris, a son, Jeffrey Burris, and her siblings, Hazel Schminke, Virgil Price, Glenn Price, Lillian Crisman, Irene Geater, and Richard Price.

Mrs. Ila Mae loved attending her church functions and baking pies, especially sour cream apple pies, for the church gatherings, which was her masterpiece! She enjoyed fishing and camping trips in Minnesota. She was an avid seamstress and gardener. 

Mrs. Burris is survived by her son, Darrell (Kathleen) Burris of Chapel Hill, TN; 2 grandchildren, Melissa Burris of Chapel Hill, TN, Danielle Burris of Nashville, TN; several nieces and nephews.

There will be a private memorial service at a later date.
