James William Alloway

Mr. William Alloway, age 75, of College Grove, TN, died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2023 at his residence. Born in Akron, OH, Mr. Alloway was a son of the late William Joseph Alloway and Elizabeth Edna Eggleston Alloway. He was a retired industrial machinist as well as a patented inventor. Mr. Alloway was a passionate fisherman (day or night). He also enjoyed woodworking, Civil War history and gunsmithing. He was a veteran of the U.S.Army during the Vietnam War. Mr. Alloway was a member of the College Grove Baptist Church.

Survived by his wife of 54 years, Connie Ivery Alloway of College Grove, TN; 3 daughters, Michelle (Eric) Metzler of Eagleville, TN, Julie (Shane) Peyton of Shelbyville, TN and Sherry (Doug) Poole of Chapel Hill, TN; a son, James (Abby) Alloway of Chapel Hill, TN; 10 grandchildren, Lyric Metzler, Zachary Metzler, Chase (Jordyn) Peyton, Alex Peyton, Michaela (Christian) Barrett, John (Abby) Augustine, Will Augustine, Tyler Augustine, Makenzie Augustine and Landon Poole; 4 great-grandchildren, Asher Peyton Marley Peyton, Charlie Peyton and Inman Peyton.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 PM, Saturday, November 11, 2023 at the College Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Nored officiating.
