James Rainey

Mr. James William Rainey, age 84, of the Fosterville Community in Rutherford County, TN, passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at his home.  He was a native of Marshall County, TN and a son of the late James Morton Rainey and Florence Louvernia Wiley Rainey.  Mr. William served our country in the United States Army.  He worked in production for Uniroyal Corporation, then for Sanford Industries, and later retired from the Bedford County School System.  He loved to tinker with things and go walking.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Edward Rainey and Vernon Glenn Rainey.

Mr. Rainey is survived by his niece, Tammy (David) Cantrell of Shelbyville, TN; great nephew, Chris (Chelsey) Rainey of Unionville, TN; great nieces, Ashley Cantrell of Shelbyville, TN and Leslie (Trevor) Throneberry of Wartrace, TN; great great niece and nephew, Kira Cantrell and Junior Burgos .

A graveside service will be on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at 10 AM at the Eggleston Cemetery on Flat Creek Road in Williamson County, TN. Interment will follow the service.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
