November 23, 1947 — January 5, 2017
Mr. James “Jim” Melvin Potts, age 69, of Chapel Hill, TN, died Thursday, January 5, 2017 in Columbia, TN. Mr. Potts was born in Nashville, TN and was a son of the late Alton Potts, Jr. and Helen Pauline Horn Potts. He was a carpenter and attended Cornerstone Assembly Church.
Mr. Potts is survived by his son, Chris Potts of Chapel Hill, TN; his sister, Debra Powell of Decherd, TN; 2 grandchildren, Ashley Potts and Leslie Potts; 5 great grandchildren, Erin, Kasen, Keaton, Coldston, and Haverty.
Visitation with the family will be from 12 Noon until 2:15 PM on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Lawrence Funeral Home. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 PM on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill, TN. Interment will immediately follow the service.
