Mrs. Janie Ann Davis, age 79, of Shelbyville, TN, died Saturday, February 25, 2017 in Shelbyville, TN. Mrs. Davis was born in Fosterville, TN and was a daughter of the late John Dee and Lucy May Tucker Garrett. She was a homemaker and was co-owner of the Stockyard Café and Steak n Tater Restaurant and was an avid gardener and seamstress. Mrs. Davis was a member of Edgemont Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Tom G. Davis, Jr.; daughter, Recca Marcella Hoover; sister, Jimmie Dee Jernigan; brothers, Clayton, Charles, Thomas, Earl, and Russell Garrett.
Mrs. Davis is survived by her daughters, Arleta (Leta) Caneal Frame and son-in-law, Jeff Frame of Shelbyville, TN and Taniese Annette Hoover Wilson of Nashville, TN; and 2 grandchildren, Garrett Levi Frame and Richard Daniel Clark.
Visitation with the family will be from 4 PM until 8 PM on Monday, February 27, 2017 at Lawrence Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be conducted at 1 PM on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Whitworth Cemetery, New Zion Road, in Rutherford County, TN with Brother Jimmy Gray officiating. Interment will follow in Whitworth Cemetery.
