Jean Hill

Mrs. Jean Hafemeister Hill, age 74, died Friday, December 11, 2020 at her home in Chapel Hill. Mrs. Hill was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and was a daughter of the late Edmund Adolph and Lucille Krause Hafemeister. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Jim Hafemeister.

Mrs. Hill retired after 35 years of service with the Marshall County Board of Education having taught special education at Forrest High School in Chapel Hill. Following her retirement, she obtained her real estate license and began working with David Jent Realty in Lewisburg and Chapel Hill as a real estate agent. She was a member of the Chapel Hill United Methodist Church and a member of both the Moose and Elks Lodges in Lewisburg, Tennessee.Mrs. Hill is survived by her children, Ames Hill, Lewisburg, TN, Jan (Joe) Darnell, Chapel Hill, TN, Seth Hill, Lewisburg, TN, Ernie (Danielle) Hill, Chapel Hill, TN; grandchildren, Andy Hill, Jesse Darnell, Tyler Hill, Bree Hill and Caroline Fowler.

Family members will receive friends on Friday, December 18, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. A Celebration of Jean’s Life will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. David Johnson officiating.
