Jean Thompson

Mrs. Jean Thompson, age 80, of Lewisburg, TN, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2019, in Shelbyville, TN, with her family by her side.

Mrs. Thompson was born in Marshall County, TN, to her late parents Carl Otis Batten and Daisy Mae Shires Batten. She was a homemaker for all of her life, a hard worker, a loving wife, and a loving mother to her family.

Mrs. Thompson is survived by her husband of 61 years, John W. Thompson, Lewisburg, TN; sons, Steven (Debbie) Thompson, Shelbyville, TN, David E. Thompson, Lewisburg, TN; sister, Martha Sewell, Shelbyville, TN; grandchildren, Matt Thompson, Jennifer Thompson, Charlie Thompson, and Michael Thompson; and several great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held on Sunday, September 1, 2019, at 2:00 PM at Hopper Cemetery in the Laws Hill Community of Marshall County, TN.
