Jeffrey B. Marshall

Mr. Jeffrey B. Marshall, age 49, of Chapel Hill, TN, passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 in Nashville, TN.  He was a native of Malone, NY and was a son of Carl Marshall and Mary Sabin Marshall.   

Jeff had many hobbies and loved sports of all kinds. In his younger days his true favorite was baseball. He excelled on the diamond. Before long Jeff caught the racing fever and loved making things that could go fast. He was an avid racer competing in snowmobile drag racing, motocross, street stock cars, and Dirt Modifieds winning multiple races in his beloved #80. 

Jeff owned and operated RPS Performance in Fort Covington NY for many years. He loved working on recreational vehicles as much as he loved visiting with all those who entered his shop. He had all the qualities of a good businessman, achieving success and having the gift to gab. Jeff eventually decided to hang up the wheel and stop competing, but he didn't stop with the racing world. He became one of the most successful Crew Chiefs in the northeast modified ranks for the Rez X Racing Team. He then moved to Tennessee to spend time with his family where his sole racing focus was on his grandson's, Weston and Hudson's dirt bike careers and watching them grow into racers themselves. Jeff also enjoyed hunting, snowboarding, karaoke, and putting a smile on anyone's face that he came into contact with.

Mr. Marshall is survived by his daughter, Kara (Andrew) Wethington of Chapel Hill, TN; two grandsons, Weston & Hudson Wethington of Chapel Hill, TN; mother, Mary Marshall of Dickinson Center, NY; father, Carl (Lois) Marshall of Skerry, NY; siblings, Craig (Kristi) Marshall of Westville, NY, Aimee Marshall and Terra Lewis of Dickinson Center, NY, Adam (Camy) Livernois of Brushton, NY; along with several loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation with the family will be from 9 AM until 11 AM on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Cappiello-McKenzie & Cosgrove Funeral Home, 2352 State Route 37, Fort Covington, NY.  A Celebration of Life service will follow at the American Legion in Fort Covington, NY.
