Jerry Newsom

Mr. Jerry Newsom, age 68, of the Rover Community of Bedford County, died Monday, August 19, 2013. Mr. Newsom was born and died on the family farm in the Rover Community, a place he loved and spent his life fishing, hunting and farming. He was a son of the late James Pete and Annie Margaret Martin Newsom. He retired after more than 20 years of employment as a truck driver for Ryder Logistics.
Mr. Newsom is survived by his wife, Carolyn Newsom, Rover Community; children, Jay Newsom, Chapel Hill, TN, Mary Bisner, Unionville, TN; sisters, Bonnie Patton, Woodbury, TN, Beverly Sue Russell, Rover Comm., Anna Deaton, Tullahoma, TN; brothers, Jimmy Newsom, Kentucky, Eddie Newsom, Rover Comm.; three grandchildren.
Family members will receive friends on Saturday, August 24, 2013 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Memorial services will follow at 7:00 p.m. from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home.
