Jessie B. Eureka

Jessie B. Eureka, 66, passed away on November 7, 2025 in Lewisburg, TN. Born on April 27, 1959, in Waterbury, CT, she was the daughter of the late Charles P. Barker and Margaret Humiston Barker. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings Susan, Gary, Paul, Lori, and Beth.

Jessie was a loving mother and grandmother. She took great joy in spending time with her grandchildren and spoiling her family. She grew up spending time with her brothers and sisters and stood out as being a “Tom-Boy.” Jessie’s mother was an amazing mom who raised 12 children on her own and instilled the importance of being a mom in Jessie. She grew up very close with her family and later continued that with her own family. She was a devoted mom to her children and always went above the call to make sure her children were always blessed. Jessie had a heart of gold and enjoyed going to the beach. She was a firm believer in the rainbow and how it always provided her with peace, comfort, hope, as well as answers. She will be remembered for her straightforwardness and how she lit up when her family was gathered together.

Jessie is survived by her loving husband of 23 years Richard Eureka of Lewisburg, TN; children, Margaret (Michael) Appler of Spanish Fort, AL, Gerald R. (Sarah A.) Perkins of Harvard, IL, Daniel (Jessie) Perkins, McHenry, IL, and David M. (Alexis V.) Perkins of Madison, AL; 8 grandchildren, Shelby, Michael, Jesse, Luke, Walter, Allie-Mae, Alannah, and Arianah; siblings, Charles, Glenn, Leona, Cheryl, Paula, and Diane; gracefully touched the lives of Jason Clark and Logan Spears; as well as her fur children, Midnight, Ollie, and the late Zowie.

A Celebration of life service for Mrs. Jessie will be on November 15, 2025 at the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home at 12 Noon. A visitation will take place from 10AM until 12 Noon at the funeral home.
