Mr. Joe Ed Haynes, age 83, of Eagleville, TN, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2023 at his residence.  Mr. Haynes was born in Williamson County, TN and was a son of the late Gid Haynes and Geneva Ghee Haynes.  Mr. Joe Ed was retired from Metro Nashville Board of Education as a heavy equipment operator.  Mr. Joe was a member of Mt. Vernon Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a graduate of the Class of 1959 at College Grove High School.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife Marion Ann Maupin Haynes in 2020, and a sister, Elizabeth Cowell.

 

Mr. Joe Ed enjoyed life in general and picking at people.  He had a passion for running heavy equipment, driving his truck, and mowing the lawn.  The most important part of his life was spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter, Madi.

 

Mr. Haynes is survived by his children, Keith Edward Haynes of Eagleville, TN, Pam (Randy) Owen of Rockvale, TN; granddaughter, Madison “Madi” Owen of Rockvale, TN; sister, Julia Haynes of Eagleville, TN, and Betty Brewer of Smyrna, TN.

 

Visitation with the family will be held on Sunday, December 10, 2023, from 12 PM until 2 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 10, 2023, at 2 PM from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Anderson officiating.  Interment will follow in Simpson Cemetery in Bedford County, TN.

 

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
