Joe Walsh

Mr. Joe Walsh, age 84, of Chapel Hill, TN, passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at his residence.  Mr. Walsh was born in Rockland County, NY and was a son of the late William David Walsh and Catherine Marie Frank Walsh.  Mr. Joe proudly served our country in the United States Air Force.  He was retired from Metro Nashville Fire Dept.  and later retired from Ryder as a driver.  Mr. Joe was a member of Catholic Church of the Nativity in Spring Hill, TN and a member of Knights of Columbus.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his sister, Carol Dannberg, a brother, Jim Walsh, and a son, Willie Hargett.

Mr. Joe enjoyed watching Notre Dame football games and the New York Yankees baseball team.  He loved his little dog, Abby.  The most important part of his life was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mr. Walsh is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Mrs. Dorothy Walsh of Chapel Hill, TN; children, Ellen (Dan) Forster of Estill Springs, TN, Suzanne (Eddy) Adams of Chapel Hill, TN, Joe T. Walsh of Chapel Hill, TN, Margie (Terry) Crow of Chapel Hill, TN, Nancy (Michael) French of Chapel Hill, TN; 18 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; brothers, Billy Walsh of New York, and Pat Walsh of New York.

Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023, from 10 AM until 12 Noon at Lawrence Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 12 Noon from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Father Jerry Strange officiating.  Interment will follow in Nolensville Cemetery in Williamson County, TN.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
