John Cox, Jr.

Mr. John Frederick Cox, Jr., age 61, of Shelbyville, TN, died Sunday, August 29, 2021 in Murfreesboro, TN. Born in West Covina, CA, John was a son of the late John Frederick Cox, Sr. and Sharon Lynn Howes who survives. Mr. Cox attended the Shelbyville First Church of the Nazarene and worked as a care giver. In his spare time, John enjoyed watching NASCAR, football and was a Cleveland Indians fan. In addition to his father, Mr. Cox is preceded in death by his sister, Laura Morhfeld.

John is survived by his mother, Sharon Howes of Shelbyville; son, Michael Cox and a step-son Lloyd Wooten.

A celebration of John’s life will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 10:00 am at the Shelbyville First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Kevin Thomas officiating.
